Want to get to know your professor and classmates better? Lunch is on us!
If you are an undergraduate in a class of 30 or more students, we will pick up the bill when you and at least two other classmates take your professor to lunch.
Here's how it works:
- Who can participate?
3-7 undergraduate students currently taking the same class, and their instructor (Any instructor of record is eligible, not just those with the professor title! However, TAs are not eligible). Only one student from the group needs to fill out the form on behalf of the other members.
- What does it cover?
$10 per person. Valid for lunch at Campus Club, or a meal at any time at a University of Minnesota Dining Services restaurant (during M Dining business hours).
- Where can our group go?
Vouchers are valid at any M Dining restaurant or at the Campus Club in Coffman Union. You will need to decide on one or the other dining service at the time of application.
- When should I apply?
Applications open on the first day of classes, and must be submitted at least a week in advance of the lunch date of your choosing. Applications close a week prior to the last day of instruction.
Getting to know your faculty is a great way to not only succeed in the class, but also network for research experience, gain insight into the field, and build a connection for a future letter of recommendation!
Students must confirm the lunch date with their group and instructor FIRST, and then submit the Take Your Professor to Lunch Application below. The application will ask for: date of meal, names & emails of 3-7 students, faculty name & email, and course number.
Applications will be open from January 17 – April 28, 2017
You must allow one week for processing your application. We will email you with confirmation once your request is processed, and will give further instructions on where to pick up your voucher.
